This piece was made with acrylic paint on canvas, touched up with oil paint. If you look closely at this tangle of organic shapes and twisty columns of color, you might get a peek of some of ocean life hiding in between the colorful confusion. To the left, you can find a young mermaid reaching up towards the surface to get a look at the world beyond, to the right the red-violet turns into a sea anemone and swaying kelp to hide a little clownfish, half out of sight. A pufferfish blends into the watery background of the middle. You can find organic figures everywhere if you care to look, not everything is as it seems at first glance, imagination is endless!
