This piece was done with oil paint, and a touch of acrylic, on canvas. One of my favorite things about fall is the contrasting colors that speckle the ground and the trees before everything dies in the winter. It's a time of transition, much like spring, but in a different way. Spring represents a transition to movement and excitement, while fall seems to be more of a transition to stillness and observation. Change can be beautiful and so can the stillness as long as you are comfortable with silence and the thoughts in your own mind. Always remember to take a minute to slow down and observe your mind just like we slow down in the fall to admire the changes taking place and prepare for the quiet and stillness of winter.
