An Installment of Poetry from The Art Guy
Sometimes I think big picture thoughts when I’m feeling blue, like What would you do if you weren’t built for your society?
Or if your society wasn’t built for you?
Would you turn you into, not you, but someone else?
There may be other places to go, but with no means to get there… Would you change your perspective, flip it all upside down so that what was Hell’s is now Heaven’s, and what was Heaven’s is now Hell’s?
Whenever I find myself in the clouds, my mind tends to day-dream up random reflections
I mean the human brain is capable of inflicting hallucinations and false memories upon us
From our own minds, and for our own minds, we have no protection
Do you have to be in the clouds to think about the fact that
No one seems to be talking about the Subjective Dimension of Time Where an hour may feel shorter or longer to each person, even if you’re counting the same seconds flat
When my thoughts turn longing and wishful
It soothes me to imagine the feeling of discovering a color, of being the first to lay eyes on lavender
To think of a time when I didn’t appreciate color as I should have, makes me almost wistful
If nothing seems to matter or make sense,
I make myself anew, discover everything I love again;
In order to find your soul, just lose your mind and stay in the present tense
