This is one of my earlier paintings, done in 2021, and refreshed in 2022. If you look a little closer than a first glance, you'll notice a figure of a little girl reaching up to her tiptoes to turn on a lightswitch that is in the place of the sun. Below is her figure in shadow. In creating this painting, I was keeping in mind the two sides that everyone has, and the different paths we are all free to choose from, starting at an early age. It was painted with acrylic and oil paint on canvas.
