This is one of the pieces that was created and added to the exhibition last minute. It's part of the section with the theme name, "Injustice" inspired by the horrific human rights violation committed by the United States Supreme Court at the end of June 2022. This is representative of the situation women are in, in this country right now; one of the founding principles of America was the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness- things that women no longer have full access to. Our hands are essentially tied; we are to be mothers or criminals at the end of the day if mistakes were made or even if we were victimized. The choice is now: give up your hopes and dreams of the life you wanted to build for yourself before, if ever, you made that kind of commitment, risk your health, your life, and any kind of security you held for yourself before; OR we can become criminals creeping through the blind-spots of our government, who will be policing our bodies and choices having to do with our life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. So, our hands are tied.
